ALAMEDA HEALTH SYSTEM
Highland Hospital Replacement Tower & Multi-Campus Upgrades

HIGHLAND HOSPITAL TOWER

Jtec HCM has had an ongoing relationship with the Alameda Health System (AHS). Jtec HCM provided owner’s representative services to the Medical Center as part of the $668M Design/Build, Best Value Acute Tower and Highland Hospital Campus upgrade project. The project included replacement facilities to be constructed in three phases over seven years.

The Alameda County Medical Center project included make-ready projects and the following major components:

  • New 169-bed acute care tower

  • New 78,000 sf medical office building

  • New central utility plant

  • Significant landscaping and campus improvements, including a one-acre central courtyard

This new facility is connected to the Koret Foundation Critical Care and Clinical Center and parking garage for one contiguous medical center. The Alameda County Medical Center is the trauma center for Northern Alameda County and serves as an Academic Teaching Facility for the UC San Francisco Medical Center.
