Jtec HCM was founded in 2000 based on the fundamental principles of providing the highest level of project management expertise at the most competitive price. Our main goal is to be an innovator in delivering time-sensitive projects and to ensure a high quality construction product that meets the demand in today’s competitive market.

Jtec HCM has grown steadily through consistent client satisfaction, repeat business, a conservative business philosophy and dedication to our work. Our management style is pro-active, anticipating and preventing problems before they arise. We represent the Owner, and act in the Owner’s best interest at all times. Jtec HCM believes in helping all project team members optimally perform through concise communications and cooperation.

 

Leadership

Jim Lennon
President/CEO

As the firm’s President, Jim Lennon is responsible for overall company growth and strategic direction. He is a hands-on, working Principal leading project teams on all large-scale projects. His vast experience comprises more than 65 projects, totaling over 6M sf and more than $4B in construction value. Jim was the Manager of the Design & Construction Department at UCSF Medical Center prior to establishing Jtec HCM. This enables Jim to offer the perspective of both a consulting construction manager and owner on all projects. Jim attended California State University in Chico where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. Jim is also a licensed Level A OSHPD I.O.R.

Tom Hyder
Principal

As a Principal and Owner, Tom Hyder is a working Principal and brings over 35 years of continuous Project Management and Construction Management experience to clients for a range of complex healthcare projects. Prior to joining Jtec HCM, Tom was a Senior Project Manager in the Design & Construction Department at UCSF Medical Center. Similar to his partner Jim, Tom offers a unique perspective about Owner’s needs. Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance at Oregon State University with a Minor in Construction Management.

Joey Cadavid, CCM
Principal

Joey Cadavid is a Principal and Senior Project/Construction Manager at Jtec HCM. Joey has extensive healthcare experience, combined with a civil engineering background. Serving on projects up to $1.3B, he has a proven track record of simultaneously managing multiple projects while delivering them on time and within budget. Joey earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at California State University, Northridge. He is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM), a member of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), and has completed OSHA 30 training.

Beth Knapp
Principal

Beth Knapp is the Business and Operations Manager for Jtec HCM. She is the point person for senior leadership in the company and oversees all support services, finance, human resources and IT. Joining Jtec HCM in 2005, she has been an integral member of the operations team and became a partner in 2019.
