Capital Improvement Projects

Jtec HCM has a long history with UC San Francisco campuses. From 1986 to 1999, prior to the establishment of Jtec HCM, Jim Lennon, Jtec HCM CEO, was the Manager of the UCSF Design & Construction Department responsible for both large and small projects with an average annual capital program of $30M.

The relationship with UCSF continued, once Jtec HCM was established in 2000. Jtec HCM is providing comprehensive project management and construction management services on multiple projects including: training/classroom spaces, administrative/executive offices, lobbies/reception areas, IT projects, lab spaces, parking garages, maintenance buildings, and site work.

Jtec HCM has had three full-time staff members on-site overseeing small and minor capital projects. All projects include planning, budgeting, and scheduling responsibilities and change order review and negotiation, working with stakeholders and other consultants, incorporation of Title 24 codes and UCSF standards, and coordination with approval agencies. We provide constructability and quality control reviews, and equipment planning/procurement.
